It is a difficult time for the Holy Land. A month after the outbreak of war, despite the absence of pilgrims and visitors, life in the sanctuaries of the Custody of the Holy Land continues. From Mount Nebo in Jordan, from the place where Moses beheld the Promised Land, we get images of normal daily life - but with thoughts always turned to the need for peace.

Peace and good from the shrine of the memory of St. Moses. The world is experiencing moments of peace crisis. All tourism has decreased here because of this situation.
At Mount Nebo we still have many pilgrims, although they have decreased by almost 60 percent.
The small community of friars who have been on Mount Nebo for 90 years join the world's prayer for peace.

What do we say to the people who come here and to the world? We pray here for peace! Because without peace humanity cannot live. We pray for the many people who are suffering that there will soon be lasting peace.
