In the last week of Lent, we can reflect on the sacred way: the path of sorrow that Jesus walked to his death. In this liturgical time, the Church invites us to contemplate the Via Dolorosa, and we can see that because of recent events, such as the Coronavirus pandemic, there is pain, suffering, but there is also the hope that everything will pass, for Christ has suffered and has risen.

"Following the evolution of the situation in the Holy Land we want to communicate that the celebrations of the Greek-Orthodox, Latin and Armenian communities in the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre will continue regularly". Thus begins the official note signed by the heads of the three communities responsible for the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem.

The miracle of fire, a gift from the Risen Christ, announced once again this year the Orthodox Easter. During the Lenten pilgrimages, the Franciscans stopped at the Chapel of Condemnation. Last steps before the Holy Week.

On April 7, more than 170 young people took part in a Lenten march from Wadi el-Qult to Jericho, led by Brother Imad Kamel.

The third and fourth stations of the Lenten pilgrimages were the Flagellation, to commemorate the sacrifice and suffering of Jesus, and Bethany, where the miracle of the Resurrection of Lazarus took place.
