A Sunday in the Latin parish of Holy Cross in Nicosia. The beauty of cultural diversity is united in one faith in Christ.

In this first episode on the Franciscan presence on the Island of Cyprus, we will learn about the beginning, the development and the challenges that the friars have undergone throughout the centuries.

In the second episode we make our first stop in Larnaca. The Franciscans have been present there since 1593 and today two friars live there: Brother Andrew Verdote and Brother Andrew Arhin.

We will get to know, in the last installment, the details of the Crypt with its mosaics, the main altar with the depiction of the episode of the transfiguration, and finally the "Descendentibus" chapel that we find towards the exit of the Shrine.

In this third installment, in the chapel dedicated to Elijah, we will discover his importance in this manifestation of the Son of God on Mount Tabor.

In the year in which we commemorate 100 years of the construction of the Basilica of Mount Tabor (1924-2024), built by the Italian architect, Antonio Barluzzi, we would like to present a series presented by Brother Alessandro Coniglio, ofm , professor at the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum, who through the biblical texts related to this important place of Christianity, helps us to understand the meaning and depth of the mystery depicted here.

In this second chapter, Brother Alexander Coniglio tell us about the figure of Moses who appears connected to the Transfiguration narrative.
