Especially in light of the circumstances in which we live, I ask God for peace for this precious country, and that He give us comfort and security. But today, with these voices, this choir has asked and all in it have cried out for peace in this holy country. In a time exhausted by the machine of war and destruction, the voices of the choir ‘The Voice of Angels’ rose up to fill the whole earth with a bold hope. From Bethlehem, the city of Jesus Christ's birth, the John Paul II Foundation, in cooperation with the Catholic Action Foundation, organised a spiritual evening on 1 November. A heartfelt cry that shook the walls of silence and told every suffering person that there is someone to raise your voice to heaven, begging for you. To those with decision-making power, so that they can promote peace. This is the atmosphere that, as the new governing body of the Catholic Action Foundation, we have been trying to create since the beginning of our mandate. This evening would not have been full of life without the great commitment and efforts of the founder of the ‘Voice of Angels’ Choir, Nelly Abu Aita Faddoul, who worked day and night to bring this work to life. With her dedication, she has conveyed a message that goes beyond words, planting seeds of love and peace in our society. It is the feeling that there is a group that supports each other, that love unites us, and this is a reality that is not found everywhere. Peace remains the highest hope and the dream we seek with all our hearts, for which prayers are raised at all times. It is the hope that gives us the strength to move forward despite the storms and the path to a dignified life that welcomes all.
