In Jerusalem, the Franciscans of the Holy Land and the local Christians celebrated the Feast of the founder of the Order of Friars Minor.

Intense weeks of work for the friars gathered in Chapter in Jerusalem, July 4 to 16.

Wednesday, June 8, Br. Francesco Patton made his solemn entry into the Upper Room, site of the first Franciscan monastery in the Holy Land, for which the Custos has the appellation of "Guardian of Holy Mount Zion".

On Tuesday, June 7, the new Custos of the Holy Land made his solemn entry into the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher.

Monday, June 6, Father Francesco Patton entered solemnly into Jerusalem, through the Jaffa Gate. After 12 years with Father Pierbattista Pizzaballa as the Custos, the Holy Land has a new Custos.
