In a young event, music cannot be missing. Franciscan Youth Day began with songs and dances. Br EMAD KAMEL, ofm Youth Pastoral Animator Holy Land "The reason for this day is to accompany the young participants in the Franciscan March. We accompany them all year round, but especially in two very important moments: before Christmas and Easter. And this is the day that prepares them for Christmas." "Our nourishment is in the Manger" was the theme of the day, addressed in a conference. Br MARIO HADCHITI, ofm Parish priest of Jericho "I told all the young people here today to be brave and strong in faith, and to seek conversion in the grotto of the Basilica of the Nativity, where there is the manger." In addition to music, prayer and conferences, the young people visited some holy places, such as the grotto of the birth of Jesus, where they prayed and sang. MARY KHESHAIBUN Participant "This meeting helped me to resume the path of faith because I was far away... Now I have renewed my faith and I have returned to the Church." NAJWAN TURK Participant "I have come here today to renew my faith and to give greater meaning to the time of Advent, in anticipation of the coming of Jesus. This encounter also helps us to renew the sense of prayer, and this small march represents us walking towards Jesus every day. This participation is very beautiful." JESSICA SALAMEH Participant "I took part in the Franciscan march four years ago. I put this meeting among the important things to be able to prepare myself in this time of Advent for the coming of the Lord. I decided to participate in this meeting because where there is joy there is Jesus Christ. This is the meaning."
