The congregation of the Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo runs the German Hospice in Jerusalem, the spiritual heart of the German-speaking community in the Holy City. From 24 to 27 September, the conference ‘The Word and the Places’ took place at St Saviour's Convent in Jerusalem. In September, the Custos of the Holy Land, Brother Francesco Patton, visited Washington. From 20 to 21 September, the Comboni Missionary Sisters in Jerusalem organised a seminar to help vocations.
The Word and Places: A Congress to Start Again, at the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum
From 24 to 27 September, the Congress ‘The Word and the Places’ took place at St Saviour's Convent in Jerusalem. Organised by the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum, the event marks the closing of the centenary since the founding of the SBF. It also marks the beginning of a new year and new projects aimed at deepening the understanding of Revelation in the places where it was realised.
The Custos of the Holy Land in the USA: a trip to help and support suffering Christians
In September, the Custos of the Holy Land, Brother Francesco Patton, visited the United States, in Washington, to meet the community of the Custody living there, and to encourage the friars in their mission of bridging North America and the Land of Jesus.
Warming the Heart: The Sisters of St Charles Borromeo and the German-speaking Community in Jerusalem
On 23 September, the German Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo inaugurated the new heating system, a state-of-the-art work realised thanks to the contribution of the German government. The German Ambassador to Israel and the Abbot of the Mount Sion Monastery were present.

The reliquary of the Martyrs of Damascus, donated to His Holiness Pius XI by the General Postulation of the Order of Friars Minor on the occasion of their solemn beatification on 10 October 1926, will be displayed in St. Peter's Square during the canonisation rite on Sunday 20 October 2024.

The Comboni Missionary Sisters, in their monastery in Jerusalem, organised a seminar entitled ‘A feast for all’, adapted from Jesus Christ's parable about the king celebrating the marriage of his son. The seminar was inspired by Pope Francis' message on the occasion of World Mission Day 2024.
