In recent days, many concerts, through music, let people sang the announcement of the birth of Jesus occurred in this land. The one that stands out is the presentation of the tenor, Friar Alessandro Brustenghi, from Assisi, who sang the most famous Christmas songs in the Church of Saint Saviour, in Jerusalem. Behind the beautiful and strong voice of the friar, the story of someone who met music early in life ... another encounter, however, has marked his story even more. Fr. ALESSANDRO BRUSTENGHI, ofm Saint Francis seraphic Province - Assisi "During my course of musical studies I also had my own parallel path to my personal and even spiritual growth, and I was very attached to philosophies especially to a more idealistic philosophy. So God was nothing but the projection of myself, but in such a situation of this kind I was very unhappy, very sad and this led me to seek help from that God whom I no longer believed in. He manifested himself and I had an experience of prayer, a very strong mystic experience in which I lived love and eternity. From that moment on I see it everywhere around me ". A spiritual path that led him to know the Seraphic saint and to discover himself as a Franciscan. He was not late because, in his life, music and the mission were combined.  Fr. ALESSANDRO BRUSTENGHI, ofm Saint Francis seraphic Province - Assisi "This was the result of obedience because when I entered the convent I decided to leave a studio and so the music, the singing, because by then there was a new life for me. But my superiors asked me, let’s say they "warmly recommended" for obedience to continue studying ... then I continued to study and I put my gift at the service of the fraternity (...). We started this adventure that led me to live this mission ". A mission that, moreover, made him visit all around the world... and that brought him even in the Holy Land to sing the birth of Jesus. Fr. ALESSANDRO BRUSTENGHI, ofm Saint Francis Province - Assisi "It is and has been something special and unique. A gift for me. Many people said that my voice is a gift. I am given more than I give. I'm sure. Because for me this is a mission that teaches me about unity, my Franciscan spiritual journey teaches me and I am enriched by the hearts of so many people I meet ".
